The Tech Editing process in a few, simple steps:
• You submit your pattern in Word, PDF or Google Docs format, along with any additional files you used. Be sure to mention if you require any additional services such as schematics, style sheet creation or logo design.
• I will provide you with a cost estimate based on my pricing structure and a timeframe for completion.
• Once I get the OK from you, I will send along an email summarizing our agreement, and I’ll get to work!
• Turnaround time for the initial edit is approximately two weeks. If a rush job is required, please let me know and we can discuss priority rates.
• Once I complete my first round of edits, I’ll send your pattern back so you can make any necessary adjustments. I will then do a secondary proof-read to make sure nothing is missed, however, it is YOUR pattern and you decide what the final outcome will be. We can go back and forth as many times as needed until your pattern is perfect.
• I will send an invoice that includes a payment window and instructions.
until this point, you’ve put a lot of work into your pattern. Maybe this is your first pattern and you need some help getting your baby ready to publish, or maybe you’re looking to develop a brand. In any case, my role Is to help you polish your pattern into the shiniest gem it can be! You want to maintain your voice as a designer while making sure your pattern looks great.
