KnitProof is the love-child of my two passions; knitting and graphic art. My dream was to start a business where I can both express myself artistically and earn a living. With tech editing, I can indulge this passion and still have time to be a present wife and mother.

I graduated from the University of Victoria with degrees in both Fine Arts and Education, and quickly found myself in an elementary school classroom, teaching mainly French to groups of hilarious little people.

Having taught for twelve years, I was itching to get back to my roots of Art and Design, so I decided to develop the KnitProof brand.

Having completed the TYGA Tech Editor Certification Course and the TE course through the Tech Editor Hub, my goal is use the communication skills I honed in the classroom and the technical skills I learned in my education to do work I truly love.

At different points in my artistic journey I have had obsessions with a wide range of crafts, from book binding to circular weaving to needle felting to pottery. I also owned a small, laser-cut wood jewellery business that, sadly, did not survive the pandemic.

I have a supportive hubby, two sweet and spicy girls and the cutest Schnoodle there ever was.

As a tech editor, my sincere hope is that I can use my skills to help you produce the best pattern you can put out into the world, through detailed feedback, dependable communication and mutual respect.
