Style Sheets in a few, simple steps:
• You submit a current pattern in Word, PDF or Google Docs format, along with any additional files you would include in a pattern, such as photos or schematics. We can discuss your needs, as you may want to provide notes or examples of pattern styles you like. Also, please state whether you require any additional services such as tech editing or schematics, so I have all the information needed to provide an accurate quote.
• I will provide you with a cost estimate based on my pricing structure and a timeframe for completion.
• Once I get the OK from you, I will send along an email summarizing our agreement, and I’ll get to work!
• Turnaround time for the initial style sheet creation is approximately two weeks. If a rush job is required, please let me know and we can discuss priority rates.
• Once I complete my first draft, I’ll send your style sheet for approval. You can suggest any changes or revisions, and I will then do a secondary draft to make those adjustments.
• I will send an invoice that includes a payment window and instructions.
There are industry standards for knitting patterns, but many choices are up to the designer. having your own personal style sheet can help your business grow. Maybe you have a long list of 'dos and don’ts' for your patterns but haven’t had time to compile a Style Sheet.
