Schematics in a few, simple steps:
• You submit your pattern in Word, PDF or Google Docs format, along with sizing standards used. Include any former schematics you have used, or you may want to provide examples of styles you like. Also, please state whether you require any additional services such as tech editing or style sheet creation, so I have all the information needed to provide an accurate quote.
• I will provide you with a cost estimate based on my pricing structure and a timeframe for completion.
• Once I get the OK from you, I will send along an email summarizing our agreement, and I’ll get to work!
• Turnaround time for the initial schematic creation is approximately two weeks. If a rush job is required, please let me know and we can discuss priority rates.
• Once completed, I’ll send your schematics for approval. You can make any suggestions or additions and I will then do a secondary pass to make any adjustments.
• I will send an invoice that includes a payment window and instructions.
Schematics can be as unique as the designer, and come in many different forms. Do you want your schematics hand-drawn? Colour or black and white? Classic and simple? We can work together to create a traditional schematic or run with an idea that is more ‘outside the box’. I offer schematics for all types knitted projects, including garments, accessories, and home decor items. Schematic creation can be added to a Tech Editing job or done independently, based on your needs.schematics
